We need to show John 3:16 in our marriages. God so loved the world that He gave up everything, and we, as men of God, should give up everything to Jesus first, and then we will know true love, not bargaining love. Unconditional, without looking for something in return, other than the same kind of love that was given from God. (Agapa Love). By doing this, we will understand what love is (a songwriter wrote, "I know what to know love is, I want you to show me"). Only I need God to show me, so I can show my wife and this world what love is.
I believe that if we stop doing marriage the way the world does, it won't be a car-dealer type of event, but a Godly event. Stop when we get upset, wanting to trade in our love of our lives, that's what we said right at some point in time. Also, my brothers, let us not think that we are perfect in any way; always seek perfection in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to show us the way.
