There was a post from Louis Farrakhan that said: We as a culture and people. Don't respect and appreciate our Elders as we did in times of old, when we sat at their feet and listened to the great wisdom and knowledge they shared. He said that we have lost a lot by not doing these things. I say, let's get back to listening to the Elders and learn from what they have to teach us.

For example, we need to know how to function better as a people and pass these things on to our children and their children, our culture, and the understanding of being people of color. We need all that great wisdom and knowledge in our nursing homes; we need to visit the elders, listen to them, and learn how to train our children better to be all that Jesus asks us to be. Please take a moment to consider what we are losing by not being obedient to God's word and will. We have lost a great deal of time, family time, understanding of our culture, the wisdom of our elders, and our heritage. Remember Matthew 6:33- "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you."
