Daniel 1:8 says- Faithfulness - But Daniel resolved that he would not defile himself with the king's food, or with the wine that he drank. Therefore, he asked the chief of the eunuchs to allow him not to defile himself.
I believe that with Daniel, time was rough, as he faced challenges for standing against the law of the land. However, because he served a great God rather than the king, he took a position based on what the Lord said.
Men of God, let us take that kind of position in everything we do for the glory of Jesus Christ, and always for our good. Sometimes we need to quiet ourselves from the noise of this world, social media, and the things that keep us from doing kingdom work. We can, and I pray we work on doing God's will and not always our own. He has already positioned us in His son, Jesus Christ, so let us walk in our calling with humility and love.
